  18. to taste Salt

  20. handful Curry leaves
  21. 1 plate Rice
  22. 1 bowl Ivy gourd /tindi subji
  23. 1 small bowl Pickle
  24. as needed Cucumber
  25. 1 Cup curds

Instructions to make to make Platter 1 South Indian

  1. Boil one glass of rice with two glasses of water cook well for 2 to 3 whistle.
  2. Ivy gourd Subji. Take oil in pan add half teaspoon of mustard seeds and and handful of curry pata little hing and turmeric powder and let it splutter. Then add cut ivy gourd with salt and chilli powder and cook well. Subji ready.
  3. For sambhar. Pressure cook half glass of toor dhal for 5 to 6 whistle it should be mushy.Keep aside. Add turmeric to dhal. Take a kadai add oil then half teaspoon mustard seeds half teaspoon Chanadhal and two three methi Dhanya curry pata Handful hing little bit and cook well. Now cook the drum stick in tamarind water squeezed from lemon size tamarind. To this add 3 spoons of sambhar powder salt and boil for 3 mins Once done add the dhal and boil for two more mins.
  4. Serve with curds and pickle and salted cucumbers.
